- The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), Greenville Transmitting Station (E/O/EM), has a requirement for repair/reconstruction of roadway earthen shoulders and the layout and application of pavement markings for the IBB, Greenville Transmitting Station, Site B Facility entrance road located at 3919 VOA Site B Road, Grimesland, NC 27837. This procurement will be a Small Business Set Aside Firm-Fixed Price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237310 entitled ?Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction? $28.5. Standard is in millions of dollars. (E/O/EM) is an active high frequency transmission site and work shall be performed without interfering with its? broadcast schedule. This Public Notice is to find Contractors so the Government can obtain competitive price quotations. Interested and qualified firms or individuals may express to the Government their interest in written form, to request a solicitation package. Any such written expressions of interest and statements of detailed capabilities, with specific examples of past similar projects works on by the firm or individual expressing such interest, and references of such past experience that can be validated by the Government, must be received by the Government by 2:30 p.m., EST, Wednesday August 9, 2006 to be considered. Oral submissions of interest and capabilities will not be accepted by the Government. A final determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement, based on written responses to the Notice of a firm?s or individual?s interest and capabilities to perform the above-stated work, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received from interested firms or individuals responding to this Notice will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct, or not to conduct, a competitive procurement. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 36.211, the Contracting Officer has determined that the distribution of this solicitation will be limited to Offerors located within a one-hundred (100) mile radius of the Grimesland, NC Transmitting Station.
