Description

Furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, and supplies, to perform a forest inventory for the project area. This will aid in the environmental analysis and provide forest vegetation inventory data for the area. Project area includes 70,917 acres of federal land administered by BLM. Approximately 8,000 acres are currently forested with an additional 1,400 acres of burned forest. The contractor shall have until the end of the 2006 calendar year to complete the work after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database and ORCA will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Information for registration in ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation will be posted during the week of July 31, 2006. Response date for quotes will be on or about August 2, 2006. A tentative site visit is scheduled for the week of August 14, 2006. A firm date will be cited in Section L of the specifications. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
