Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to move the Mooring Barge (MB2) from Fort Mifflin, PA via the Delaware River, to a location designated by GPS in or around the Kilcohook Containment Faci lity. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, services and equipment to perform the specified work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the scope of work. Necessary equipment includes a Crane Barge with a minimum of 110 foot boom with a lifting capacity of 50 tons, tugs, work barge welding machine, pneumatic tools, and hand tools. Prior to commencement of work, the contractor must submit a current Crane and Barge Certification to the Government in accordance with Section 16.F of USACE Safety Manual EM 385-1-1 (3 November 2003 Edition). The Safety Manual can be reviewed or downloaded from the following website: Http://www.usace.army.mil/inet/usace-doc/eng-manuals/em385-1-1. Request for Quote (RFQ) Number W912BU-06-T-0067 shall be issued on or about Monday, 24 July 2006. Quotes will be due by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, 8 August 2006. All work shall begin by 28 August 2006 and be completed no later than 1 September 2006. The MB2 shall also be fully operational no later than 1 Septem ber 2006. The MB2 return trip from Kilkohook Containment Facility back to Ft. Mifflin shall be accomplished during the period of the 20th through 22nd of November. The return trip shall take place no later than 22 November 2006. The acquisition will be procured as a commercial service in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. Solicitations documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested par ties must register as a Vender with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vender in FedTeDs, offerers must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for th is solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to plans and s pecification should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system.
