Description
Screening Information Request (SIR) National Strategic Sourcing Initiative for the procurement of Information Technology (IT) Hardware (Nationwide, Alaska, Hawaii & Territories). This procurement is for Information Technology Hardware and includes: a) Servers (Sun Based Servers/Sun AMD Servers); b) Network Peripherals (CISCO routers & CISCO switches); and c) other peripherals (cable, memory, power). The FAA anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with firm-fixed pricing per line item for the base year and four (4) one-year options. A small business subcontracting plan is required from large businesses. Small businesses will be given a ten (10) point advantage in the evaluation of their Technical and Management proposals. The estimated value of the contract is $50M if all options are exercised. All interested sources should first download the Screening Information Request (SIR)/Request for Proposal (RFP) from this site. All responses to this SIR/request for offer should be submitted electronically per the instructions in the SIR. To submit your electronic proposal, contact the Contracting Officer (CO), Mr. Steven Bobby, by email at steven.bobby@faa.gov. Please provide Company Name, The First and Last Name for the company point of contact, Address, City, State, Zip, Email Address, and Phone Number. The CO will then email the Offeror a web site address, log on name, and password information. See Section L.10.1, Instructions for Electronic Bid (eBreviate online tool). The date and time for receipt of electronic responses is 2:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, August 9, 2006. Any responses submitted after that date and time will not be considered in accordance with AMS provision 3.2.2.3-14, Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals of Submittals. If all requested information is not furnished, the vendor's response may be determined unacceptable; therefore, not considered as one of the qualified companies. Oral or written communications with offerors, during the screening process, will be conducted if the FAA deems communication is necessary. The FAA will accept questions regarding this SIR within five business days of the release of the SIR on the FAA Contract Opportunities website. Please direct questions via email to: Federal Aviation Administration ATTN: Steven M. Bobby, ATO-A, AJA-481 800 Independence Avenue, S.W.
