Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract under commercial item acquisition procedures with Audio Precision, Beaverton, OR under RFQ E003270. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Audio Precision is to provide the following items: 1) S4S-2722A, 2700 Series Audio Test System w/ dual channel analog & digital, DSP analysis and generation, w/APWIN Software, card & cable; 3 year warranty ? Quantity (1); 2) 2700-PCIE, PCI Express Card & Cable ? Quantity (1); 3) S2-IMD, IMD Generator & Analyzer option ? Quantity (1); 4) S2-BUR, Burst Generator option for 2722A ? Quantity (1); 5) S-AES-17, Multi-stage Low Pass Filter Package ? Quantity (1); 6) FIL-AWT, A-weighting Filter ? Quantity (1); 7) RAK-S2, Rack Mount Kit for 2700 Series ? Quantity (1); 8) ATS2-RAK, Rack Mount Kit For ATS-2 ? Quantity (1). Based on the market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and the related industry, it has been determined that the FBI?s requirement for the above-listed items can only be provided by Audio Precision. The known requirement will be used in characterizing component and system audio performance. The FBI has invested significant time in manufacture training of its personnel with the Audio Precision family of test equipment. Several Audio Precision audio test and measurement products are used by several FBI technical groups. Furthermore, existing automated test procedures and data measurement files have been created by FBI technical groups and will need to be compatible with the new system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 12:00PM, EST, Wednesday, July, 26, 2006, via facsimile to the attention of Charles A. Weschler, Contracting Officer, at (703) 339-2760. Information received will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number is 334515 and the size standard is 500 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.5. The awardee must be registered in the Central Contract Registration Database (http://www.ccr.gov/).
