- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division, Newport intends to award on a sole source basis, a Firm Fixed Price contract to Instruments, Inc. The requirements for this procurement are to fabricate, test and deliver modified IPS Control Panel Assemblies (with the external Voltage/Current monitor incorporated) and modified IPS Performance Monitoring (PM)/Fault Localization (FL) Assemblies, as well as deliver revised drawings and parts lists reflecting the modified assemblies. These modified assemblies will be backfitted into IPS production units. Instruments, Inc., is the designer and fabricator of the Engineering Development Model (EDM) IPS units. They are the only company having a thorough technical understanding of the assemblies to be modified and can modify according to existing form and fit requirements.
