- This is an Amendment 01 to Pre-Solicitation Notice posted on Jul 05, 2006 under Solicitation Number N62473-06-T-3060 for commercially available overhaul of Outdoor Type, Skid Mounted 5000/6250kva (OA/FA) Transportable Substation within the Mobile Utilities Support Equipment (MUSE). The Pre-Solicitation Notice Amendment 01 is posted to change the types of substation to be overhauled from two types, namely, the Electrical Systems Engineering (ESE) and the Golden Gate Systems (GGS) to one type, namely the Golden Gate Systems (GGS). The statement of work?s objective on GGS type in the Pre-Solicitation Notice has been changed as follows: The primary objective is to extend the life cycle of the GGS style substations within the MUSE inventory. All components of the substation excluding the primary transformer and utility circuit breakers, shall be replaced with the new. The primary transformer and utility circuit breakers shall be evaluated to determine the extent of refurbishment necessary. Actual work to the transformer, and utility circuit beakers, shall be determined by results of evaluation. The end product shall closer resemble existing MUSE ESE style substations in design, layout, and component makeup; reducing inventory requirements. The posting date of the solicitation and solicitation amendments unto the NAVFAC E-Solicitation Website at https://esol.navfac.navy.mil has been changed from 10 July 2006 to 20 July 2006. All other information in the Pre-Solicitation Notice N62473-06-T-3060 posted in this website dated 05 July 2006 remains the same.
