Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotes are bein g requested and a more detailed solicitation is available on the FedTeds Web Page at http://www.FedTeds. Hardcopies will not be available. Solicitation Number W912EE-06-T-0040 is being issued as request for quotes (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simpli fied acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11 Correction. This is Unrestricted under NAICS Code 532412 (SIC 7353) with size standard of $6,500,000.00. The US Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg Mississippi has a requirement for Rental of Two 30-Ton Capacity Articulated Trucks. The vendor shall provide monthly rental, for a 3 month period for two 30 ton capacity off road articulated trucks with 6 wheel drive. The truck shall be similar or equal to Komatsu HM 300-1. The expected rental period will be 24 July 2006 to 10 October 2006 but may vary depending on weather and site conditions. The vendor shall also offer pricing for up to 2 option rental months for the trucks in the event that the equipment is needed longer than anticipated. Equipment shall be serviced, in good operating condition, and ready for work prior to shipment. The vendor shall be responsible for all repairs incurred during normal operations and shall promptly provide replacement machinery, of equal design specification, in the event that repairs cannot be performed in the field or require downtime in excess of 3 days. Any downtime due to inoperable trucks shall added back to the end of the rental period. The government will be responsible for routine daily maintenance as required by the maintenance manuals to maintain the equipment in good working order. All equipment shall be equipped with seat belts and back up alarms. Location Of Work. The equi pment will be operated at Walkiah Bluff Picayune, Ms., Sunflower, Ms., and Start, La. Delivery. The equipment will be transported to the work site and returned to the vendors facility by government trucks and personnel. In the event equipment must be repl aced due to equipment failure, the vendor shall be responsible for providing transport of the failed equipment and transport of the replacement.
