- Description
- The U.S. Army Armaments, Research Development & Engineering Center-Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce (ARDEC-Picatinny) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract for an optical augmentation system to QinetiQ Inc., Arlington, VA. This acquisition to procure three (3) fully integrated systems with an option to procure an additional twelve (12) will serve to provide a capability utilizing proprietary techniques and critical technology to locate/classify targets of interest utilizing optical augmentation techniques. This acquisition includes the procurement, integration verification support, training and technical support. Sole-source authority is FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). As the designer and developer, QinetiQ is the only firm with the required technical and engineering expertise that can support this effort. See Numbered Note 22.
