- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all supplies and services necessary for a standard commercial Physical Fitness Facility gym memberships to include, at a minimum: the facility, all equipment needed for cardiovascular fitness, strength conditioning, aerobics classes, walking and jogging programs. The contractor shall provide cardiovascular equipment, strength conditioning equipment, aerobics classes and walking and jogging programs. The Physical Fitness Facility must meet the needs for all DoD personnel assigned to the Pentagon, but working out of a government leased building located at 5113 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church. The contractor shall be located within 1 mile of the Government?s Falls Church location at 5113 Leesburg Pike, VA 22041. All work will be performed at the Fitness Facility. The contractor shall provide unlimited access during normal operating hours and shall offer all discounts normally extended to most favored members. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 713940 and the corresponding SIC Code is 7991. The small business size standard is $6.5 million. Performance period is 12 months (01 Oct 2006 through 30 Sep 2007). All interested parties are encouraged to provide information on their capabilities to meet this requirement. In order to be considered as a potential source, interested parties must submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating the capabilities to satisfy the requirement specified above and advantages of the Government to consider another source. The documentation shall include prices and descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet this requirement. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. This procurement is going out unrestricted, full and open competition. This solicitation will be distributed solely on the World Wide Web at the following address beginning on or after 25 July 2006 : http://www.eps.gov. Closing date of this solicitation will be 20 calendar days after the issue date. NO PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE MAILED. No fax/telephone requests will be accepted. Prospective Offerors will be asked to register for this solicitation at the above referenced web site. This notice does not obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. **NOTE: ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS MUST HAVE A COMMERCIAL AND GOVERNMENT ENTITY (CAGE) CODE AND BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR RESGISTRTION BY THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE, AS PRESCRIBED IN DFARS 252.204-7004, IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD.
