Description
The Air Force Flight Test Center has a requirement for PCM600 Modules and Stand-offs F/A-22 program. The purpose of this system is to transmit and receive conference data. There is a need for the following: 3 each SSM610/Selective Subset Module; 4 each P/N 14004RSS3,0012SLD/3? Stand-Off; 4 each P/N 14004RSS2,62512SLD/2.625? Stand-Off; and encoder configuration, 2 each. Below is the description: The PCM-600 is a miniature, programmable data acquisition system. This product comes standard with a programmable bit rate program control. The power supply assembly converts raw 28V input power to the regulated voltages required within the PCM-600. The SSM610 modules monitor the complete PCM databus and outputs a subset of data. Using direct digital synthesizers, the data rate of the output will be proportional to the amount of the data selected in a minor frame. Two subset outputs are provided: RS-422 data and clock, and an analog output which has been filtered through a 6-pole pre-modulation filter. A word mapping method allows selection of any word in the data stream for inclusion of subset data; - Number of formats per SSM610 module ? 1; - Subset basis ? per minor frame; - Max minor frame length ? 8K words; - Min minor frame length ? 1 frame per second with SSM610 generated subset bit rate; 17% - 35% of bit rate; - Output formats ? NRZ-L, RNRZ-L, B-phase-L 5 mbps limit for Bi; - Phase ? L; - Filtered Output Level ? 1-4Vpp, programmable in 0.25V steps; - Generated PCM clock ? 100 Kbps to 4 Mbps, programmable in 100 Bps steps - Power @28V ? 3.5W Typical; PCM-600 Specifications: - Size of PCM-600 with 30W base and three additional modules in a horizontal; configuration is 3 inches in length, MTG Centers 2.650, and weight of 22 ounces; - Bit Rate ? 10Kbps to 10Mbps; - Bits/Word ? 8-16B/W; - Word/Frame 2048 max; - Frames/Major Frame 1024 Max; - Parity In/Out (Odd/Even/Forcing); - Frame Sync Code 8-32 bits; - Premodulation Filter Linear Phase, Cutoff 0.7 X bit rate 6-pole 5V peak to peak; Power Requirements: - Voltage 28 vdc; - Overvoltage 40V; - EMI Meets MIL-STD 461C; Environmental: - Operating Temperature ? 40 degrees C to +85 degrees C; - Vibration ? Sine 10g, 50 to 2000Hz; - Random ? 20g 20 to 2000Hz; - Acceleration ? 110g all Axis; - Shock ? 275 Half Sine, 1 ms, 100 g half sine, 11ms; - Humidity ? 1-98T Relative; Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide PCM600 Modules and Stand-offs. Firms responding to this synopsis must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the synopsis number and indicate whether or not that they are a small or small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 334220. The Small Business size standard is 750. The information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in August 2006. All responses may be sent via e-mail to Leonard.Buckless@edwards.af.mil or mailed to 412TW/PKDD, 5 South Wolfe Ave, Edwards AFB, CA 93524, Attention: Leonard Buckless, fax Number: 661-275-7885.
