- Description
- The solicitation for this project shall be posted on the FedBizOpps website on or about 15 days from today. The Government is in need to secure services to perform timber stand exam collection on the Caribou-Targhee National Forest within the Dubois, Ashton-Island Park, Teton Basin, Montpelier and Westside Ranger Districts. The project will collect 1400 predetermined GPS plots of data for a variety of cover types. These exams will generally be concentrated along urban interface and organizational site areas to gather data for fuel reduction and aspen enhancement opportunities. This is a performance-based contract requiring a contractor?s quality control plan. Work will consist of locating, establishing, measuring, and recording data for sample plots. Information shall be collected as outlined in Chapter 4 of the Common Stand Exam User Guide, Version 1.7 (January 2005). The ?Intensive? collection level will be used to collect data for the Tree form and the Brown?s protocol will be used to collect data for the Down Woody form.
