- SOLICITATION NUMBER, SP0700-06-R-7022 (Aircraft). In accordance with the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) statute, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) issued a RFP for the Tire Privatization Initiative on Monday, July 10, 2006. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit proposals for supply chain management of aircraft tires for the Department of Defense. This recommendation is intended to create a more responsive supply support to user organizations and deployment, and the sustainment of forces when deployed worldwide. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Thursday, July 27, 2006 commencing at 8:30 a.m. local time; registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. local time. The conference will be held to explain the requirements of these solicitations and to respond to questions raised by prospective offerors. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. To arrange attendance, prospective offerors are requested to e-mail Kathy Manley at dscc.tires@dla.mil. Please provide your name(s), Company name, address and phone number. Registration is limited to no more than four representatives per company for the event. Final registration Cut-Off is Tuesday, July 25, 2006, C.O.B. A return email will confirm your registration. The conference will take place at Defense Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC), Columbus, Ohio. Once you are registered, further information will be provided with your confirmation e-mail. Offerors are cautioned that remarks and explanations provided at the conference shall not change the terms of the solicitations unless amended in writing.
