- Description
- This synopsis describes the proposed five-year acquisition of a full Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Program for the support of AN/BLQ10 (Submarine Electronic Warfare Support System) and AN/BSY2 (Seawolf Sensors and Weapons Electronics). The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) in Mechanicsburg PA is the contracting agency for the proposed contract. NAVICP intends to use an Alpha negotiation process to streamline the acquisition process for the contract. The PBL will cover approximately 382 depot level repairable (DLR) and consumable items used to maintain these systems. No option periods apply. The PBL will be awarded via firm fixed priced contract. Under the PBL, the awardee will function as the Navy?s Commercial Stock Point for the covered items including the performance of inventory management functions including, but not limited to, forecasting, procuring, receiving, shipping, tracking, warehousing, reporting and scheduling. The NAVICP will issue an RFP (N00104-06-R-L003) for this requirement once the Government?s requirements are finalized and all pre-solicitation requirements are satisfied. Note 22 applies to this acquisition.
