Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Geologic Discipline, Energy Resources Team intends to make an award to SpectrAlliance, Inc., St. Lois, MO to provide a diode array spectrometer system, including installation and training. The system shall include a diode array spectrometer, optical fibers, decoupling optics, adaptation components for assembly to a microscope imaging system, and the control and analysis unit with dedicated software. Government furnished property will include microscope imaging system upon which the contractor will install the system. It is believed that SpectrAlliance, Inc is the sole possessor of system knowledge and components that are comptable to implement a diode array spectrometer system solution to our existing microscope system. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice must be submitted via e-mail to: mfritts@usgs.gov by 07/21/2006. No additional synopsis will be published. See Numbered Note 22.
