OLICITATION NO.: W912PL-06-B-0010 TYPE OF CONTRACT: Construction CONTRACT SPECIATIST: Julie Ayala PHONE: 213/452-3241 AVAIL FOR DOWNLOAD: Aug 7, 2006 DUE DATE/TIME: Sep 6, 2006, 1:00pm FSC: Z216 Dredging PROJECT TITLE: Marina del Rey Maintenance Dredging LOCATION: Los Angeles County, California Estimated Cost Range is $1,000,000-$5,000,000. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Z216, SIC CODE: 1629, NAICS Code: 237990. The size standard for this code is $18.5 Million. Information about the time and location of the pre-proposal conference and/or site visit will be found in Section 00100 of the specifications. TYPE OF AWARD: Firm-Fixed Price DESCRIPTION: Project consists of maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channel and sand trap near the north entrance to the harbor. Approximately 250,000 cubic meters. Material to be placed on or in the near shore of Dockweiler Beach, approxima tely 3500 meters south of the dredge area. All bids are due not later than Sep 6, 2006/1:00 pm PST, at which time bid opening will occur. The acquisition method is sealed bidding. Subcontracting plans are required for all construction contracts awarded t o a large business when the award amount exceeds $1,000,000.00. If the successful bidder is a large business, they will be required to submit a subcontracting plan upon request. The Los Angeles District subcontracting goals are specific percentages of th e contractors total planned subcontract amount. The goals are as follows: 51.2% with Small Business, 8.8% with Small Disadvantaged Business, 7.3% with Women- Owned Small Business, 3.1% with HUBZone Small Business, 1.5% with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owne d Small Business. All interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the Provisions of Public Law 95-507. ALL OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS.
