- The Centers for Disease Control, NIOSH, Pittsburgh Research Laboratory (PRL), 626 Cochran's Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA has a requirement a direct replacement of an existing coal feeder (Item RG-942-18), which is part of the Detroit Stoker Company coal handling/burning equipment originally installed in 1979 at the PRL Building 62 Boiler House for the Keeler Boiler. This equipment is a proprietary design and no other manufacturer of this equipment is known to exist. Responsible sources that believe they can provide identical product are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice their written specifications and supporting information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages. Please submit capabilities and supporting information to: Brenda L. The Government will review any/all information submitted and determine if other qualified sources for a direct replacement do exist. Information received in response to this notice will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days, per FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be on a sole source basis conducted for the Detroit Stoker coal feeder as the only item meeting our needs and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted
