- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source simplified acquisition under the authority of Federal Acquisitiion Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) to McPherson of Chelmsford, Ma 01824. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for an Oscillating Tilt Mirror Chamber for use by Brookhaven National Laboratory and to be used as part of a third party beamline end station and will also be mounted to additional UA7 beamline already inhouse. McPherson is the only known source that can fulfill this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received by 12:00p.m. July 20, 2007 will be considered by the Government. No RFQ package is available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code for this prourment is 334513 with a small business sized standard fo 500 employees.
