- 100% Set-aside for Small Business. Rattlesnake Springs Mechanical Fuels Reduction Treatment, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico. Solicitation Number N7170060009. The National Park Service requires a performance based, firm, fixed price service contract for the removal and disposal of dead and downed woody debris that has accumulated in open areas and dense woodlots at Rattlesnake Springs, a unit of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico. The project shall take place on federally owned property administered by the National Park Service and on an adjacent portion of land owned by the Nature Conservancy of New Mexico. The objective of this project is to mitigate fire behavior in order to protect people and property, specifically a NPS residence and a nearby camp retreat for special need individuals, and to preserve vegetation structure and protect important wildlife habitat. The NAICS code for this project is 115310, size standard $750,000.00. Work on this project is to be completed between September 1, 2006 and March 1, 2007. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. Solicitation will be made available July 27, 2006. Responses are due by August 28, 2006, 4:30 PM (MDST).
