- Description
- Provide laboratory services in the analysis of nuclear markers distributed across the bison genome for detection of cattle gene introgression and to assess the degree of genetic diversity within a herd. Expected output on each sample submitted for the respective analysis includes alleles detected at each marker, alleles identified as cattle origin, and estimates of diversity for batches of samples representing herds. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on or about July 26, 2006 with a closing date of on or about August 25, 2006. The RFQ will result in a contract with a 1-year and four 1-year options. Evaluation for award will be made IAW best value source selection procedures. The RFQ will be available through the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE) (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Please note that the Statement of Work and Evaluation Factors will be posted with the solicitation as .pdf files and will be available for download from the GPE. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
