Description
A solicitation is not being issued at this time. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Programs Center, is seeking to identify qualified vendors capable of providing two small-caliber projectile pull-apart machines. The pull-apart machine s must be capable of handling various sizes of projectiles, with the required tool change easily facilitated. The machines are to be delivered and installed for the Egyptian military, to include training of the Egyptian officers and technicians on the use and maintenance of the equipment. The following is a list of the projectile sizes to be handled by the machines: 7.62x39, 7.62x51, 7.62x54, 7.62x92, 9mm, 12.7mm, 14.5mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, and 40mm. The projectiles are a combination of Eastern Euro pean and U.S. manufacture. This Sources Sought notice is also issued for the purpose of Market Research, in accordance with the FAR Part 10. All businesses capable of providing these services are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government, as a resu lt of this Sources Sought, is voluntary. This Sources Sought does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited in this Sources Sought announcement. Vendors must be United States firms, as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The equipment is required to be compatible with all U.S. Department of Defense requirements. Interested vendors are asked to submit information on the following: 1. A description of the companys capabilities in response to this notice. 2. Companys business size, status (i.e. small business, 8(a), women owned, etc.), statement of U.S. Corporation, etc. 3. Description of similar services offered to the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as to foreign defense agencies. 4. Pricing information for the pull-apart machines and tool sets. Small businesses are encouraged to submit a response to this notice. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are required to be submitted no later than 10 days after posting.
