Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a Presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to identify sources that can perform fire trainer maintenance services. Responses are due by 1600 HST on 20 July 2006. The Contractor shall provide all consumable materials, tools, equipment, and qualified labor to inspect, test, maintain and repair all PACAF structural and aircraft LPG fueled fire trainers in a manner that will ensure their serviceability and prevent deterioration in operational effectiveness. The Contractor shall comply with Air Force Technical Order (TO) 35E1-2-13-1 - Operation and Maintenance Instructions for Aircraft Fire Training Facilities, manufacturers? recommendations, procedures, and technical data, and local, state, and federal guidelines as applicable to the work involved. The inspections and preventive maintenance will occur on a semi-annual basis for each trainer. Currently there are six (6) Air Force standard design aircraft LPG live fire trainers located at the following locations: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; Eielson AFB, Alaska; Misawa AB, Japan; Yokota AB, Japan; and Andersen AFB, Guam. In addition, there are two (2) ProSafe mobile aircraft LPG fire trainers located at Kunsan AB, ROK, and Kadena AB, Japan, as well as two (2) Kidde structural LPG fire trainers located at Andersen AFB, Guam and Kadena AB, Japan. The 15th Contracting Squadron is seeking information to identify sources to meet this requirement. Based on the outlined requirement, is your company interested and capable of providing this service? The anticipated contract type is firm fixed price with options service contract. The duration of the contract, to include all options, is anticipated to be five (5) years. The NAICS for this project is expected to be 811310 with a $6.5 million size standard. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry. This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal, and is not considered a commitment by the government. The government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey.
