Description
RFI 200-116-06 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center is requesting information for a FIPS 140-2 compliant software package for secure file transfer and terminal connections with cross-platform connectivity. The overall goal is to present a single FIPS 140-2 software suite that would serve as a viable alternative to some, or possibly all of the software packages listed below: Hummingbird FTP puTTY sftp WRQ FTP Voyager Solaris FTP AIX FTP RHEL FTP RSync SERV-U IBM FTPS Connect Direct MS FTP F-Secure The whole of the software package will provide users with: comprehensive enterprise security, secure system administration, secure application connectivity, secure file transfer and secure logging from clients. The major tool functionality to be provided shall be: ?X SFTP (secure FTP) ?X SCP (secure copy) ?X SSH (secure shell) The contractor shall submit evidence that they can provide site software licensing or a sufficient number of licenses to cover the following specific type of servers and server counts: ?X (2) Mainframes which include (6) LPARs (Client ?V Server) o Mainframe USS o Z/OS 1.5 ?X (150) UNIX (Client ?V Server) o Sun Solaris 8, 9 & 10 o OpenVMS o HP/UX 11.11i o Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 & 4 o AIX ?X (300) Windows servers (Client ?V Server) o Windows 2000 server o Windows 2003 Server o XP Client ?X (550) Desktop Servers (Client only) It is requested that sufficient documentation be provided to allow evaluation of the proposed solution to meet the Government??s requirements. There is no solicitation document available at this time. All documentation should be submitted electronically to kari.cozzens@va.gov or via fax at 512-326-6028 no later than 3 pm CST on July 19, 2006.
