Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Hotel Accommodations and Hotel services located in the geographic area of Columbia, SC. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefit Administration, Employee and Development & Training will be participating in the Challenge 2006-4 Seminar. The breakdown for hotel accommodations for a total of 369 room nights at the Government rate dates of attendance in August 9 thru September 1, 2006 are as follows; 8/9-2 , 8/9-2, 8/10-2, 8/11-2, 8/12-2, 8/13-19, 8/14-19, 8/15-19, 8/16- 19, 8/17-19, 8/18-19, 8/19-19, 8/20-19, 8/21-19, 8/22-19, 8/23-19, 8/24-19, 8/25-19, 8/26-19, 8/27-19, 8/28-19, 8/29-19, 8/30-19, 8/31-19, 9/1-departure. Hotel Requirements Mandatory Amenities: Must have restaurant choices in hotel, Must have in room refrigerator and coffee maker for guests, Must have Offer Hospitality Room for first night gathering at no cost, Must be within 2 miles of local attractions and local eating facilities, Within 1 mile of training location (VARO Columbia 1801 Assembly Street, Must offer fitness center and pool on premises, On-site laundry/dry cleaning services or within 1 mile, Within 2 blocks to public transportation, In compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act. Other Hotel Requirements: Hotel must have a Duns and Bradstreet Number, Hotel must be registered in Center Contractor Registration CCR, No penalty for rooms not used. The specific instructions contained herein are intended to serve as guideline for the preparation of the quotation. In developing the quotation, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements stated in the description. The government intends to award without discussions. Therefore, each contractor is urged to examine this request for quote in its entirety and to ensure that their quote contains all necessary information, provides all required documentation, and is complete in all aspects. All submissions of quotations must be electronically used the email address the previous sentence. The electronic copies shall be compatible with Microsoft Office 2000. The Contractor shall certify that all files and electronic media have been checked for and are free of viruses. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in th is notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
