Description
The United States Coast Guard has a requirement to purchase a Megapulse Inc. LS-1000A Transmitter Simulator, qty 1 each. Scope of work is for a modified Megapulse LS-1000 Loran Signal Generator (new equipment, not GFE). NO ALTERNATE PARTS. Request for Quotation (RFQ) HSCG40-06-Q-50149 and scope of work shall be available for download from FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) on or about July 12, 2006. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the FBO systems for changes or amendments to the quotation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which if timely received shall be considered by this agency. Items are to be delivered and accepted at FOB Destination, USCG ELC, Warehouse Receiving Room, Bldg. 88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226. It is the Governments belief that only Megapulse Inc. and/or their authorized distributors can furnish the required part and ensure the proper form, fit and function of all its components. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish these parts are invited to submit complete information discussing the same no later than 07/14/06. Other potential sources desiring to furnish other than Megapulse, Inc. parts are required to submit the following information: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Offerors that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. All quotations are due NLT July 18, 2006 and award is anticipated to made by July 19, 2006. Note: In accordance with FAR Case 2002-24, Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-26, and FAR Subpart 4.12 - Annual Representations and Certifications, the use of ORCA will become mandatory as of January 1, 2005. ORCA is available through the Business Partner Network (BPN) at <http://www.bpn.gov/ >. Contractors will use ORCA to electronically submit annual Representations and Certifications (Reps & Certs). For contractors to be able to upload their Reps & Certs to ORCA, they must have an active Central Contractor Registration (CCR) record and a Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN).
