No. QEG60098 Solicitation Number: (NHLBI-PB-AR-2006-252/BNJ) Solicitation Type: Request for Quote Title: Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is posting this pre-solicitation for Request for Quotes (RFQ) to determine the availability and technical capability of contractors to provide the brand name or equivalent items and/or equipment. The brand named items are manufactured by Microcal, LLC, 22 Industrial Drive East, Northampton, MA 01060. The items required are as follows: Item # 1: VP-DSC MicroCalorimeter Item # 2: Ultra sensitive VP-DSC Micro Calorimeter Cell Item # 3: VP-Control Unit with monitor for real-time operation and post run analysis. Network compatible. Item # 4: Software pack including: ORIGIN VPViewer, Microsoft Windows XP Professional Item # 5: ThermoVAC temperature-controlled sample preparation and cleaning device. Item # 6: Accessories box with: filling and emtying syrings and assemblies, o-rings, fuses. Item # 7: Manuals: DSC user?s manual, DSC data analysis manual, On-site installation and instruction. Other features include: Scanning temperature range -10 C to 130 C, user selectable scan rates: upscan- 0 C/hr + 90 C/hr; downscan: 0 C/hr to -60 C/hr, all scan parameters fully user adjustable, baseline reproducibility of about 1.5 ucal/ C, internal Peltier device for rapid temperature equilibration, User selectable response times, adiabatic chamber enclosing sample and reference cells, power feedback compensation for rapid transition.
