- In accordance with FAR subpart 13.106(b) (1) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France in the amount of $60,000.00 to develop a process to identify research gaps for occupational chemicals classified by IARC and determine what chemicals lack sufficient information as know carcinogens. Additional research is necessary to further deliberate the appropriate classification of the substance, and develop a report that identifies the research gap for the selected chemicals. The International Agency for Research on Cancer is the only agency that classifies agents and knows what specific information is needed to fill information gaps and allow more accurate classification of selected agents. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by the CDC not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the government.
