- The NATO Procurement and Supplies Service has released an official notification of Call for Bids to cover sewage system repairs as well as a possible provision of work material for the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. SCOPE OF PROJECT Technical specifications: - Installation of sewers below grassed areas - Installation of sewers below asphalt and other surfaces - Replacement of sewers below grassed areas - Replacement of sewers below asphalt and other surfaces - Installation of manholes in grassed areas, asphalt or other surfaces - Repair of manholes in grasses areas, asphalt or other surfaces - Yard drains at the bottom of rainwater downpipes - Drainage along facades - Car parks and roads: replacement of drainage pipework, repair of manholes, etc. - Connection of rainwater downpipes from modular buildings to the sewage system - Replacement of rainwater downpipes - Work in technical service space - Improvement of ventilation in the service space - Miscellaneous (including preliminary removal of asbestos in the sewage system to be replaced) MANDATORY SITE VISIT Any firm wishing to submit a bid must attend a MANDATORY site visit in order for their tenders to be taken into consideration. Two dates are proposed, at the bidder option: 23 August 2006 at 11:00 a.m. sharp; and 4 September 2006 at 11 a.m. sharp. The aim of this visit is to present the typical work required. Those bidders wishing to attend the site visit must confirm their participation by contacting Ms. Fran?oise Graveline by fax at 011-322-707-4927 no later than 18 August for the 23 August visit or no later than 30 August for 4 September visit. The fax should contain the names of the people who will be going on the visit so that site access may be arranged for them. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Bidders shall submit their bids in duplicate in an envelope or box bearing the firm name, to which they shall affix the enclosed official mailing label, to the exclusion of any other method of submission. For their bid to be considered, it is essential for bidders to include with their bid the Acceptance document, duly completed. These may be sent separately or attached to your bid. Bidders must attach to their bid a list of references covering the provision and installation of similar equipment, of comparable size, carried out in the three previous years for military, government or private organizations. The list must also include the names, addresses, and telephones numbers of contact persons in the organizations for which those works were carried out, in case NATO should wish to contact them. Bids must be received by 18 September 2006 at 4:00 p.m. (Brussels time) at the latest. If your firm would like to submit a bid, you will need to obtain a copy of the Contract Specifications.
