- NASA/LaRC has a requirement for a Dynamic Data Acquisition System Module. The module includes four 16-channel 102.4 kSa/s Digitizers with DSP and Tach input and a 16-channel 51.2 kSa/sec Digitizer with DSP with Tach input. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from VXI Technologies as the only known source available to provide this module, as they are direct replacements for existing modules of a Government-owned Data Acquisition System and must be compatible with the existing Government-owned hardware and software. The new module will provide increased sampling rates and improved sensitivity. Sole source authority for this procurement is FAR 13.106-1. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 26, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
