Description

The work to be performed at Gallegos Pumping Plant will consist of disassembling eight (8) pumps, removing existing coating in the areas of repair, weld repairing cast steel, grinding to contour, recoating, reassembling and aligning pumps. Five pumps are rated 147 cubic feet per second (cfs) and three pumps are rated 47 cubic feet per second all at 337 feet of head. Corrosion damage has occurred to the diffuser vanes of the pump casing resulting in loss of metal. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials and labor to complete the work. The work is located at the Gallegos Pumping Plant located south of Farmington, New Mexico in San Juan County. The work will be performed under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 811310 - Commercial & Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS AND SHOULD BE AVAILABLE APPROXIMATELY JULY 27, 2006. A SITE VISIT HAS BEEN PLANNED FOR AUGUST 15, 2006.
