This project consists of work within the District Office and the North Residence buildings of the Sioux Ranger District Compound, Camp Crook, South Dakota. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies, necessary to complete the project. Work to be completed within the Sioux District Office includes construction of a new roof system as an add-on to the existing building (rough carpentry, placement of siding, and placement of asphalt shingles). It also includes flooring replacement. Carpet is to be removed and new carpet installed on concrete a floor and vinyl floor tiles are to be removed and new vinyl sheet flooring is to be installed. Additional work in the Sioux District Office includes gypsum wallboard repair and painting of the interior walls and designated ceiling. Office furniture and equipment is to be removed and replaced by the Contractor as needed to complete the work. Work to be completed within the North Residence consists of construction of a new staircase. Staircase construction includes rough carpentry, concrete placement, and rubber stair tread installation. Work in the North Residence also includes removal and disposal of vinyl flooring and installation of new vinyl flooring on a concrete floor. Additional work in the North Residence consists of interior wall repair; including gypsum wallboard installation, concrete wall crack repair and wall painting. A sewer backflow prevention valve is to be installed on the North Residence drain system. Personal furniture and equipment is to be removed and replaced by Contractor as needed to complete the work. No pre-bid tour will be conducted; however, quoters are encouraged to visit the project site. The solicitation package will be available for quoters approximately July 31, 2006. No bid bond will be required for this solicitation, however, payment security will be required. Magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a response, which, if timely will be considered by the agency for award.
