- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotation for fabrication and installation of a decking/bed and fish tank onto a 2006 Ford LCF Truck. The LCF Truck is a cab and chassis vehicle with a wheel base of 113 inches. Detailed specifications for the Ford LCF 55 can be found in the Ford LCF 55 Body Builder's Layout. This publication will be available at the time the solicitation is issued. The applicable NAICS code is 332420, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The principal components of work shall consist of: (1) design, fabrication and installation of the decking/bed and fish tank. The decking/bed and fish tank are required to make the truck functionally capable of transporting fish at the Trinity River Fish Hatchery in accordance with the Federal Endangered Species Act for the production and preservation of Southern Oregon/Northern California coast coho salmon. Decking Bed: outside diameter shall be 8' wide x 12' long. Bed shall be supported/mounted on top of frame rails with 3" wide x 4" high pressure-treated lumber (or correct height to insure adequate wheel clearance). Full length of frame rails supporting the bed shall be mounted by pressure-treated lumber. Full length of pressure-treated lumber shall have 2" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" aluminum angle to be welded to cross supports. Outside framework of bed shall be of 5" x 2" x 3/16" aluminum channel. Cross supports, placed on edge width-wise, shall be of 3" x 1 1/2" x 1/4" aluminum channel on 16" centers. Bed decking shall be fabricated in three sections. The center portion of the bed decking shall be of 1/4" aluminum channel on 16" centers. Pressure treated lumber and bed shall be secured to frame rails with metal u-bolts. Bed decking shall be fabricated in three sections. The center portion of the bed decking shall be of 1/4" smooth aluminum plate 60" wide along the length of the bed. The two outside sections of bed decking shall be 1/4" aluminum diamond plate 18" wide on both sides along length of the bed. The seam connecting the smooth (center) section with the two outside diamond plate sections shall be supported by 1 1/2 " x 1 1/2" x 1/4" angle on the underside, and the seam shall be welded along the length of the top side. Fish Tank: 124" length outside dimension. 56" width outside dimension. Height required to produce an 800 gallon capacity tank (approximately 40 inch height outside dimension). 3" foam insulation. 800 gallon capacity. 3-way sloping floor to center and rear with flush outlet. 12 inch x 12 inch opening in rear to accommodate 14 inch x 14 inch Salmon Gate with 10 inch butterfly valve necked to 8 inch male drain. Further technical information concerning all the components of the work will be provided at the time the solicitation is issued. Solicitation 06SQ230015 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 24, 2006. The estimated date for receipt of quotes is August 8, 2006.
