- The United States Army Intelligence and Security Command intends to award a contract on an other than full and open competitive basis for the procurement of IDC Lamps. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) Only One Responsible Source, Atlas Specialty Lighting, Tampa, FL. Atlas Specialty Lighting is the sole manufacturer and provider of these lamps. Due to the co mpatabilty requirements with existing projectors, no substitution of lamps can be accepted. These are commercial items that will be acquired under FAR Part 12. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. ADMIN INFO: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335110. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considere d solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 2 days (til 07/11/06)instead of 45 days.
