- Capital District Contracting Center, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington. VA, intends to award a requirements, fixed price contract, for a base of 1 October 2006 through 30 September 2007 with four option years for the maintenance of trees and shr ubs at Arlington National Cemetery to include trees and shrub pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, lightning protection and emergency storm damage cleanup. There will be an increasing amount of trees each year to prune up to approximately 3,000 trees. Remo val of an average of 140 trees per year, prune up to 18,000 linear feet of shrubs and hedges, prune linden trees lining the Ceremonial Mall, train the wisteria vines at the Old Amphitheater, provide emergency support, and perform up to 2,400 hours of vario us ground pruning tasks annually. Solicitation will be issued on or about 16 August 2006 and copies can be downloaded from this website. This requirement was previously advertised under Solicitation W916VL-06-R-0003.
