- Description
- The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson AFB, CO, intends to release a solicitation for packing, crating, and local drayage services for Archuletta, Delta, Dolores, Gunnison, Hinsdale, LaPlata, Mineral, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, San Juan and San Miguel Counties, Colorado. The Government anticipates soliciting for the award of a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract. The anticipated award(s) will be 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 488991, and the size standard is $23.5 million. Contractor tasks will include, but are not limited to the following: to pack and containerize Department of Defense (DoD) civilian and military members? Outbound (Schedule I), and Inbound (Schedule II) personal property, and to provide complete inter-county move services (Schedule III) in Archuletta, Delta, Dolores, Gunnison, Hinsdale, LaPlata, Mineral, Montezuma, Montrose, Ouray, San Juan and San Miguel Counties, Colorado. With the exclusion of government property, the contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary for the preparation of personal property of DoD personnel for shipment and/or temporary storage and related services through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) as defined in the Statement of Work. The performance period of this contract shall consist of one base period beginning 1 September 2006 through 31 December 2006, and four individual option years beginning 1 January 2007-31 December 2010, for a total of 52 months. However, there is no guarantee that the option years will be exercised. The Government anticipates releasing the Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 13 July 2006. The anticipated award date is 18 August 2006, for performance beginning 1 September 2006, subject to the availability of funds.
