Description

We will furnish and install, mechanically and electrically, a series of 13 ett. 24" diameter exhaust fans. 13 as. 5-wing, propeller-type exhaust fans rated at 10,055 cfm per unit. Each fan is directly driven by a 2000 watt, 240 volt, 1 phase electric motor. Motors ale TEPC with automatic thermal protection and class F insulation. Each unit is equipped with a single panel, back draft damper-type shutter and built-in OSHA approved intake guard. We will mount four units in each of the three basement exhaust areas, as discussed, and one unit in the separate utility room, We will make the necessary alterations to the exhaust areas in order to properly accept the new exhaust units. The electrical portion of the job covers one fan to be controlled with a wall switch, The remainder will be. controlled by time . clocks and contactors. The power in the hospital is 480/277v & 120/208v three-phase and the exhaust-fans require 240 volt single-phase power. This will require the use of buck?boost transformers which is included in this quotation. Also, due to the physical distance of the fans from the power sources, #10 THHN wire will be used for voltage drop considerations. The electrical portion of this quotation is based on the information given to us during the walk through with Steven Davenport on March 16, 2006 and is subject to change if the scope of the work changes.
