- This is a Sole Source announcement. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to VDC Display Systems for 6 PT-563/UYQ Projection Plotting Units, and 9 Spare Parts Kits, as required to support DDG110- 112. These units are COTS-based fully-ruggedized Large-Screen Displays, suitable for use in shipboard mission-critical applications. Video Display Corporation (VDC) has proprietary rights to the manufacturing, tooling, and data associated with the PT-563/UYQ. Therefore, VDC is the only source available for these items. There is no substitute to the PT-563/UYQ that meets the Government's needs. The estimated date of delivery of these items is prior to 30 November, 2007. The applicable NAICS code is 334310, size standard 750. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, by submitting an electronic capability statement (NTE 5 pages) within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
