- Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to provide FULL EMERGENCY POWER, Project 573-05-302 at the VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. This project will provide Full Emergency Power for the Gainesville VA Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida. Work includes general construction, site work, electrical work, mechanical work, construction of new Generator Building, installation of government purchased generators and other equipment, installation of Underground Storage Tanks, necessary renovations to existing structures and equipment, and certain other items as required by the specifications and drawings. The NAICS code is 236220/size standard is $28.5 million. Estimated cost range is $2,000,000-$5,000,000. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation, Subject to the Availability of Funds. THIS SOLICITATION IS A TOTAL HUB-ZONE SET ASIDE. BIDS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FROM QUALIFIED HUB-ZONE SMALL BUSINESSES. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The issue date is 7/21/06. Pre-Bid Conference: 8/3/06 at 11:00am in Room EB106-1 Basement at the VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, Florida. Bid Opening: 8/22/06 at 3:30pm in Room B18, Bldg. 19 at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida. Only hard copies of this solicitation will be available upon request. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the issuing office. All potential bidders must obtain a DUNS number and be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to do business with the VA.
