Description
This Request for Quotes is a total set-aside for Hub Zone Business Concerns Only. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this contract is to remove and dispose of the Coffman Cove LTF Bulkhead. The bulkhead is approximately 90 ft long, 30 ft wide and 25 ft high. Work includes removing shot rock fill as needed to remove approximately 70 pieces of steel sheet piling, 30 to 40 crib logs and miscellaneous steel cable; slope fill from base of removed bulkhead to existing fill pad elevation; place riprap as necessary to provide erosion protection; stockpile excess suitable excavation material for future use; construct 25 ft wide, 66.9 ft long 14 percent gradient barge loading ramp with stacked rock buttress. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 365 calendar days. PROJECT LOCATION: The project area is located within the City of Coffman Cove on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast, Alaska between the Coffman Cove small boat harbor ramp and the Inter-Island Ferry Terminal. Prince of Wales Island is accessible from both Ketchikan and Wrangell, Alaska by Alaska Marine Highway, Inter-Island Ferry, small airplane or boat. SOLICITATION INFORMATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 20, 2006 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation AG-0116-S-06-0052. Telephone requests will <u>not </u> be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the Plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as an Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) Database.
