- Pursuant to FAR Part 5.203, this synopsis provides notice of FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia?s intent to solicit a proposal to purchase, the following commercial supplies, in accordance with FAR PART 12, in a competitive, unrestricted manner. The required items are listed below. The items are of commercial type and are: 1034 Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (which meets Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear agent resistance standards, including Approval under NIOSH 42 CFR Part 84, Subpart H); 1035 SCBA Face-pieces; and 955 Carbon Cylinder air tanks. These items will be used to support the Commander Naval Installations Command, Washington, DC. The resultant contract is anticipated to have delivery dates of approximately the September 2006 timeframe. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113. The solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release, which is anticipated on or about 20 Jul 06 at the NECO web address: www.neco.navy.mil. Interested parties may download the RFQ from the NECO website and are solely responsible for monitoring the above-mentioned website for posting. Quoters shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instructions. In addition, quoters are required to go-online to the Business Partner Network at http://orca.bpn.gov to complete their Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to submittal of a quotation. The government will not pay for any information received.
