Description
Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD intends to procure ten Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) boards and the associated parts from Annapolis Micro Systems of 190 Admiral Cochrane Drive, Suite 130, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. These FPGAs will be used to control the Advanced Dynamic Aircraft Measurement System (ADAMS). This procurement includes the following pieces: CLIN 0001- QTY 10 - Wildstar II Pro w/ 2ea. P70-6 PCI board with 96 MB DDR SRAM & 256 MB DDR SDRAM; CLIN 0002 ? QTY 10 - Wildstar 2 channel 105 MHz A/D with 2 channels DAC 1 ea Virtex E 2000-8 with 16 MB memory; CLIN 0003 ? QTY 12 - 38 Pin MICTOR Cable 6ft; CLIN 0004 ? QTY 12 - 3?Harting Bulk Coax Connector A/D I/O Cards with 6 SMA Connectors; CLIN 0005 ? QTY 1 - 3?Harting Bulk Coax Connector A/D I/O Cards with 6 SMA Connectors . This contract is expected to be awarded on or about 15 August 2006. Annapolis Micro Systems is the only known company that can provide these boards in a format that is compatible with the current ADAMS. Specifically, the boards must be programmable with CoreFire software in order to work with the current ADAMS configuration. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes offering alternate equipment. However, interested parties may submit a capabilities statement in which they identify their interest and capability. All capabilities statements received by 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 14 July 2006, will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment of the capabilities of the alternate equipment. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
