Description

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis for fifty (50) Positive Pressure Personnel Suits (20 size medium, 20 size large and 10 size extra large) called Chemturion Suits. Part Numbers 3530-10001-01-size demoninator. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to ILC Dover, Fredrica, Delaware. ILC Dover is the sole manufacturer that possesses the ability for manufacturing this item. Qualities unique to these suits are: Optical Grade Plastic Visor with 300 degree visibility, soft boots manufactured of the same material as the suit and sized pro portionally to the suit size, Dynet-type closure (a gas-tight closure seal with integral teeth) in reversed position, Noise lever less than or equal to 85 decibels, Manifold inlet thread compatible with commercial ? male NPT fitting, High volume air flow and a rugged design allowing for repeated use. The suit comes with a five (5) year limited warranty on materials and workmanship. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITA TION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 12.603 and FAR 5.207 as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; proposals are bei ng requested and separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes. The proposed acquisition is to be firm Fixed Price Contract. The response date for this solicitation is to be July 15, 2006, 5PM. The shipment s will be FOB destination. The delivery schedule with be sixteen (16) weeks after order placement.
