- By way of this announcement, the USACE-Chicago District, issues this Pre-solicitation Notice for its Operations and Maintenance of the Chicago Harbor Lock Project, located in Chicago, Illinois. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all th e necessary management, personnel, services, utilities, materials, supplies, equipment, and fuel required to operate and maintain the Chicago Harbor Lock Facility. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procureme nt is 488310, with a business size in dollars of $23.5 Million. THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE ADVERTISED AS UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. The Government intends to award a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE SERVICES CONTRACT from this procurement. The res ultant contract will comprise of a base period and four option periods. The Request For Proposal (RFP) Package will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The RFP will be in a Portable Document File (PDF) and will be downloadable from the following Intern et Site: https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P6-06-R-0009. The estimated date by which the RFP will be available is 25 July 2006, with an estimated due date for proposals of 28 August 2006 at 4:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. Please note: In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
