Description

The US Army C-E LCMC, Acquisition Center Washington intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Newport Corporation, Irvine, CA 92606, a firm fixed price purchase order. The purchase order will be for the delivery of motion control, opto-mechan ical, vibration control and support hardware for laboratory facilities, including but not limited to the following: Tilt and mounting platforms, laboratory jacks, micrometers, mounting, angle and construction brackets, rail carriages, Vh workstation with industrial grade breadboard, actuator, motion controller, rotation, steel and vertical translation stages, rail carrier, platform posts, SLT workstation, power supply and elevator, base and vertical post holders. The lab equipment will replace obsolete e quipment and be an upgrade to the existing facilities. All equipment must be compatible with the Newport Corp. hardware which is currently being utilized. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1); Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. Nevertheless, all responsible sources that provide supporting data to demonstrate they can successfully provide the required equipment may submit a quote to be considere d(Note 22.) All responses should be received via email within 10 calendar days of the date of this notice. Delivery will be FOB Destination: NVESD, Warehouse, Bldg 335, 5961 Putnam Road, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060. All equipment shall be delivered within 60 da ys from award date. The anticipated award date is 20 days from the date of this notice. Award will be made IAW Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A written solicitation will not be issued.
