Description

The Ozena Engine Garage Project for the Los Padres National Forest is located in Ventura County, California. The work shall provide construction work for the Ozena Engine Garage Replacement Project in accordance with the requirements, specifications, terms and conditions of the contract. The project consists of constructing a new engine garage at the Ozena Fire Station on the Mount Pinos Ranger District of the Los Padres National Forest. Work also includes the demolition and removal of garage, and removal of the concrete foundation. Work includes site grading, new utility connections and trenching. The work shall also include construction staking, quality control, erosion protection. The work site is located at Mount Pinos Ranger District, Ozena Fire Station. Project can be reached by traveling from Gorman, California north on Interstate 5 approximately 3 miles to Frazier Park Road, then travel west approximately 6 miles to the intersection of Mil Potrero and Lockwood Valley Road, continue traveling southwest on Lockwood Valley Road approximately 30 miles to State Highway 33, then travel south approximately 1,000 feet to Ozena Station located on the left. The recommended contract time is 180 calendar days. Contractors must be registered in Central Contractors Registry BEFORE a proposal is submitted. Proposals will not be considered without a CCR number. Registration can be done online at http://www.ccr.gov. Estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. NAICS code 236220 Size Standard $31.0 million. Solicitation Package will be posted in approximately 15 days. Offer due by noon August 21, 2006.
