- The Forest Service requires the development of a materials pit and crushing and stockpiling of 15,120 tons of gravel from the source. Work includes, but is not limited to, necessary clearing and grubbing, and topsoil conservation to develop a pit within established boundaries; excavating material and crushing the pit material to the specified gradation; and stockpiling 15,120 tons of crushed aggregate for future use. The project is located at the North Fork Ranger District, Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lemhi County, North Fork, Idaho. This project will be advertised as a commercial item written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The performance period will be 45 Calendar Days. Work is estimated to start either in the Fall of 2006 or the Spring of 2007. Quotes are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, August 17, 2006. A site visit is planned for July 27, 2006. Interested vendors are to meet at the North Fork Ranger District Office at 11:00 a.m. MST. The solicitation will be available on approximately July 20, 2006, and may be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
