- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA), Atlanta Region, plans to issue Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation to acquire Medical Consultant (MC) Services in the specialty of Psychology (1 each). This requirement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The NAICS codes are 621112. The Size Standard is $8.5 million. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will not be accepted. Proposals must include all required information outlined in the solicitations to be considered responsive. The services will be performed at SSA?s Southeastern Program Service Center, 2001 12th Avenue North, Birmingham, AL. The contractor?s responsibilities will include: providing oral and/or written consultations resulting from reviews of SSA disability case files; consulting with SSA?s medical policy staff related to the development of SSA disability policies; training other MC contractors and other personnel; working with Government and non-government agencies and/or medical or non-medical personnel that have related interests in providing input regarding SSA programs and its objectives. There will be no contact with patients. The period of performance shall be from date of award with provisions for four 1-year renewable option periods. The solicitation SSA-RFP-06-1062 is scheduled for release on or about July 24, 2006, with a closing date of August 24, 2006. No telephone requests for the RFP will be honored. The solicitation (and any amendments) will be available for downloading on the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fedbizopps.gov for all interested parties. Note: Any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. To register in CCR at the website: www.ccr.gov, applicants must have a DUN and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number (TIN).
