- Description
- The US General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking design/build contractor sources that are capable of separating a centralized utilities plant, which includes full mechanical and electrical systems, that currently serves three adjoining federal buildings in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The three buildings are connected to a centralized utilities plant at the U.S. Federal Building, located at 517 Gold, via a tunnel of supply pipes that run underneath Gold Avenue. The project is to consist of severing all of the utility systems from the U.S. Federal Building and providing heating, cooling, domestic water heating, electrical service and fire protection to the Chavez Federal Building and Courthouse and the Albuquerque Courthouse. Separate meters and individual service must be provided for the two buildings. The project Number is INM01291 and the current size standard is $31 Million. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 36 months to complete, which includes four months for design start and thirty-two months for construction. Note that there is no solicitation available at this time; the purpose of this announcement is to identify available sources capable of performing a project of this magnitude and complexity. The award of any resulting procurement will be based on a source selection, best value to the Government methodology.
