- The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System has a requirement for project 573-121-06 to upgrade the elevators at the Gainesville Division. Cost range per VAAR 836-204 is between $500,000 - $1,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 238290 with a small business size standard of $13 million. Solicitation is unrestricted and open to both small and large businesses. Solicitation will be issued o/a 7/18/06 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading FREE OF CHARGE. Hard copy requests must be in writing submitted to Sally Thomas at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, Gainesville Division, (90F), 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32622 and accompanied by a non-refundable check for $250.00 made out to the VAMC Gainesville Division. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. Any amendments to this solicitation will be available at the website. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website unless you received a hard copy of the solicitation. If you submitted a non-refundable check for $250.00 made out to the VAMC Gainesville Division you will be sent a copy of any amendments issued for this solicitation. There is a pre-bid meeting scheduled for July 26, 2006 at 1:00pm at the VAMC Gainesville, 1601 SW Archer Road, Engineering Office, Basement Level, Gainesville, FL 32622. While the pre-bid is not mandatory, offerors are strongly encouraged to attend. Questions may be submitted to the Contracting Officer by email to Sally.Thomas@med.va.gov or by fax to 352/374-6117 no later than 7/24/06 so they can be addressed at the pre-bid meeting on July 26th. Further questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer by email or fax until close of business on August 2, 2006, seven (7) calendar days after the pre-bid meeting; responses will be provided to all bidders on the bidder?s mailing list. Questions received later than seven (7) calendar days after the pre-bid meeting will not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled proposal due date of 8/18/06 at 2:00pm eastern standard time.
