Description
As an amendment/modification to the notice, the proposal due date has been changed to 3:30pm on August 21, 2006. Also, it is of the utmost importance that any inquiries, contractual or technical, transmitted via U.S. Mail, e-mail, fax, hand-carried, or by phone, must be directed to each of the following individuals in order to have a timely reply. A planned site visit has been rescheduled. Offerors or quotors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after the award. A site visit/pre-proposal conference is scheduled at DOL Frances Perkins Building (only) for July 11, 2006 starting at 10:00 am sharp (registration begins 9:00 am). Please allow ample time for monitored entry and parking as this will be the only site visit. In accordance with OMB Circular A-76, the United States Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and Office of Administrative Law Judges (OALJ) Installation Services Functional Area Multi-Agency Standard Competition. This will include employees in Washington, DC and 10 other states (including California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.). The job functions considered include, but are not limited to, performance of various miscellaneous functional categories including administrative, facility, and technical support services. The intent of the competition is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of providing the subject services. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Competition will determine whether these services should be performed under a contract with commercial sources or through the federal work force. A Government proposal to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 561990 All Other Support Services.
